Programs

Courage Is a Collective Practice.

I design immersive multi-session leadership programs, such as Stepping Into Power, that engage participants through breath, movement, music, storytelling, and interactive small and large group activities.

I bring leaders together across issues, strategy, movements and sectors so that cross-fertilization, creativity and innovation can happen.

These core in-person or remote leadership trainings can be adapted to a range of organizations, networks and groups.

It’s a hard time in this world and it was so helpful to have this space that Ev created. We were able to build in a deep way with other folks and deepen our understanding of leadership, purpose, and how to deal with conflict. It’s hard to find a space like this in philanthropy. I had many aha moments and am transformed by this experience!

She has always taught me to think about not just the present, but the long term, and to envision what is possible, to dream about what is possible for our communities.

Executive Team Culture

I work with high-performing executive leadership teams who already have a strong foundation of communication and trust and are committed to building an ongoing, effective team culture.

I also take newly established executive teams and Co-directors through Courageous Operating System bootcamps, which are individually tailored to create a robust team and leadership culture.

Having had the privilege of working directly with Eveline and her transformative Courageous Operating System (COS) during the early stages of our co-directorship, we can attest to its profound impact. The time we spent working through the COS laid a solid foundation for our successful partnership, enabling us to explore our similarities and differences with openness and respect.

MARIKO MIKI AND DENISE TOMASINI-JOSHI, co-directors of If/When/How

I have been fortunate to know Eveline Shen for over two decades. Many of my leadership skills that I apply in my work I have learned from her. The Courageous Operating System is a resource that new and experienced changemakers can use to strengthen their own leadership and their organizations. I can’t wait to integrate these practices into my day-to-day and to share these with my leadership team.

Coaching

I coach executive leaders who have been through my leadership programs. I support those who are interested in making deep internal transformations so they can claim the full power of their inner resources and strengths.

I work with leaders who are interested in identifying patterns and habits that are inhibiting them and adopting new behaviors that enable them to have greater impact and live a more fulfilling life.

I currently have a waiting list.

As women of color leaders, we encounter distinct challenges, including leadership models that feel inauthentic and a lack of safe space to stretch ourselves and experiment with our leadership. Working with Ev and using the Courageous Operating System during a critical juncture in my journey enabled me to take a significant leap forward and expand my vision of what was possible.

KWAJELYN JACKSON, Executive Director of Feminist Women’s Health Center, Atlanta

Ev’s practical insights and wisdom guided my leadership transformation with purpose and love. This book gives us critical examples of moving collectively toward gender, racial, and economic justice while challenging and changing ourselves and our movement-building organizations.
